XIAOMI MIX - 2 (LEAKS)

We already know that Xiaomi is working on its upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone and a recent report hinted a launch sometime in second half of 2017. Meanwhile, a Chinese website - GearBest - has now listed a device under the name Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on its website. The Mi Mix 2 is listed with an "Arrival Notice" button which means that when the phone will become available, you will be notified via an email. As per the listing, the phone comes in two colours options - Black and White.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, as is mentioned on the website, features a 6.4-inchQHD (2560x1440 pixel) IPS display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 825 oocta-core2.45GHz processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It will come in three variants - 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. It doesn't have any expandable storage.


The Mi Mix 2, as per the website, has two SIM card slots with Dual Standby and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MiUI 9 on top of it. It has a 4,500 mAh battery. The Mi Mix 2 flaunts a 19-megapixel rear camera with LED flash light while for selfies it offers a 13-megapixel front camera. The handset also features a USB Type-C port and Fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back of the device. For connectivity the smartphone also offers 4G, WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2,  A-GPS / Glonass and micro USB. It will come with Ambient Light Sensor, Gravity Sensor and Proximity Sensor.

Recently, a 360-degree render was leaked online depicting from important features of the upcoming device.

The renders were leaked on Weibo and showed that the device will indeed follow the same bezel-less design with a near screen ratio of 100 per cent. The prototype design also showcased that the device might sport a dual-camera setup at the back along with a fingerprint sensor. At the right, there might be a volume controls and power on/off switch. Interestingly, the renders also showed that the device will have a thinner border at the bottom as compared to its predecessor - Xiaomi Mi Mix.

Coming to the design part, the smartphone will come loaded with the ceramic back panel but will have a higher screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent, up from 91 percent in Mi Mix. Similar to its predecessor, the Mi Mix 2 will boast acoustic earphone technology, which basically eliminates the need for an earpiece.
